JOIN THE AHWA

To enquire about joining the Australasian Horror Writers Association please email us at ahwamembers@gmail.com

The Australasian Horror Writers Association is a not-for-profit organisation, run by volunteers, to support and promote horror writers and creatives in Australia, New Zealand and the Australasian region.

The annual contribution for membership is $40, payable every January. Your membership gives you access to a member’s-only Facebook page and Discord, and a frequent member’s newsletter, all full of opportunities and advice. Throughout the year the AHWA provides a range of services and benefits, including a Mentorship Program, the Australian Shadows Awards, and the Short Story and Flash Fiction competition, and the Association also publishes the fiction magazine, Midnight Echo, at least once a year. To become a member, send an email to: ahwamembers@gmail.com

We’d love to hear your thoughts on how the AHWA can best support its members, and develop and promote the genre across the region. If you’re keen to help out, in even a small way, we’d love you to get involved. Are you interested in establishing a local meet-up of members in your area, or to gather at a convention? How would you feel about writing book reviews or articles for our website? Does mentoring or mentorship appeal? If you’re unable to help right now, no worries, we’d still appreciate your suggestions.
